Surah 94-Ash-Sharh also known as Surah Al-Inshirah* (The Expansion* or “The Opening-Up of the Heart”)
This Surah was revealed in Mecca during the early years of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) prophethood to console and encourage him in his mission to guide people to Islam. This period was marked by intense challenges and opposition from the Quraysh, who rejected his message and made his mission difficult.
Main points and Reflections:
1. Allah’s Favours upon the Prophet (PBUH) (Verses 1-4): Allah expanded his chest with Noor, relieved his burdens, and elevated his status.
2. Reassurance of Ease after Hardship (Verses 5-6): The repetition emphasizes the certainty of relief, teaching believers to trust in Allah.
3. Encouragement to Worship (Verses 7-8): After completing one’s duties, one should sincerely worship Allah and strengthen their connection with Him.
May Allah (SWT) ease our challenges and guide us to worship him in the best possible way. Aameen. Summa Ameen
